JB Motors MOT
What is an MOT?
An MOT (Ministry of Transport test) is a series of inspections designed to make sure your vehicle meets the minimum safety and environmental standards required to remain legally roadworthy.
Once your vehicle reaches three years of age, it must undergo an MOT test every year by law. Keeping a valid MOT certificate is essential—without it, your road tax and insurance could be invalid.
For full details about MOT rules and requirements, you can visit the official UK Government website.
You’re allowed to book your MOT up to one month before your current certificate expires, and you won’t lose any time on it. For example, if your MOT is due on 30th April but you have it tested on 1st April, your next due date will still be 30th April the following year.
The DVLA also provides an online tool that lets you check your MOT due date. Simply enter your vehicle’s registration number and make.
We can complete any necessary repairs on the same day, and we’ll always contact you for approval before starting any work. We’ll also run a manufacturer diagnostic check and apply any required technical updates free of charge.
You can book your MOT by submitting an online enquiry, giving us a call, or visiting us in person.
