You'll see winning Retailers clearly identified as Customer Excellence Award winners from January 2012. You'll see our award logo displayed at the top of our website.

How are the winners decided?

Vauxhall update their index of Retailer performance using Purchase Satisfaction and Service Satisfaction surveys. You will be invited to take part in both after you buy a new Vauxhall and after you get your vehicle serviced for the first or second time. Thousands of these surveys are collected – a recent tally came to over 30,000 of each survey over six months – so they make up a very accurate and long term picture of customers experience.

A Customer Excellence Award goes to Retailers with the most impressive combined Purchase Satisfaction and Service Satisfaction scores at the end of each calendar year.

JB Motors scoops fifth customer service award

A LEADING motor dealer is overjoyed to be named one of the best Vauxhall dealers in the country for the fifth time.

JB Motors, in Malton, have announced that they have won a 2019 Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award, marking them as one of the British manufacturer’s top UK retailers. This is the fourth year in a row that the family-run motor dealership has won the prestigious award, and the fifth time overall, with previous wins in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

The Vauxhall Customer Excellence Awards recognise dealerships that go the extra mile to care for their customers and provide a truly ‘above and beyond’ quality of service. Winners are decided based on customer feedback, and only retailers that achieve top marks for both purchase and service satisfaction are chosen.

Graham Harding, General Sales Manager, said: “I’m delighted that Vauxhall has recognised the outstanding effort which our staff put into making every customer interaction special.

“There are 355 Vauxhall dealerships in the UK, and JB Motors might not be the biggest, but we have big aspirations, and this award shows that we really punch above our weight.

“Emerging technology, like the massive strides forward in electric motoring which have been made over the last few years, is making this a very exciting time for the motor industry. We’ll even be showcasing some these innovations ourselves in the new Grandland X PHEV and Corsa BEV, due out later this year.”

Graham believes the Yorkshire retailer’s award success comes from providing a friendly, continuous customer experience: “We look after our customers, and so they stick with us. Around 80 per cent of our business is with returning customers, and along with our very low staff turnover, this means we get the chance to build up real relationships with our patrons. People like seeing the same faces when they visit us, and that they get know who they’re buying from.”

He said: “I’m very grateful to our wonderful customers for their kind feedback which has led to this award, and to all the staff at JB for putting in such brilliant work every day.”

JB Motors sells a range of new and pre-owned Vauxhall cars, as well as offering servicing, MOT Tests, warranty repairs, and vehicle software enhancements to North Yorkshire and the surrounding area.
